Samsung Poland Research & Development Center (SPRC) was established in Poland by Samsung Electronics in 2000.

Initially the main task of the R&D Center was the development of software for digital satellite, cable and ground TV compliant with Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard. Nonetheless, the success of the Polish entity induced the Samsung management board to create an additional department dealing with software development for the most advanced LCD TV sets. It was created in 2005 after moving to the new location. Subsequently, in June 2007, a new Mobile Lab was opened. Since that time we have also developed, customized and tested mobile phones software.

As years went by not only have we increased the pace of our Research and Development Centre, but we have considerably sped up. Our present activities concentrate on five topics presented on the Research websites: mobile technologies, digital TV decoders, advanced digital TVs, and testing of mobile devices and IT systems.

SPRC is the base for the activities of Samsung Electronics on European markets. The perfect location allows of a direct and fast contact with our cooperation partners (universities, research institutes, and high technology companies) as well as with our customers. Also, in October 2011 we opened the SPRC office in Poznań.

One of the bedrocks of Samsung is multinationalism - the constant exchange of thoughts in the multinational environment results in the renowned innovation of our products. Simultaneously, by employing high class specialists in the area of advanced technologies, we are able to ensure the highest quality of our implemented projects.

Since time immemorial we have been a recognizable brand on the job market, and an attractive work place for the graduates of Polish technological universities. In 2007 we were presented with the award "Firma dla inżynieria" (Company for an Engineer), and in 2011 with the business certificate "Top Employer Polska 2011" (Top Employer Poland 2011).
